The objective of an Optimal Power Flow (OPF) algorithm is to find steady state operation point which minimizes generation cost, loss etc. while maintaining acceptable system performance in terms limits on generators real and reactive powers, line flow OPF solution includes function. A common function concerns the active power cost. Linear programming method proposed solve problem. Programming (LP) approach transforms nonlinear optimization problem into iterative that each iteration solves a linear resulting from linearization both constrains. computer program, written MATLAB environment, developed represent method. adopted program applied for first time Iraqi 24 bus Extra High Voltage (EHV) network (400 kV). required are data taken control office, belongs ministry electricity.
